Each year, the Eaquals Scholarship Award offers exceptional educators an opportunity to attend the Eaquals Annual International Conference. This year, the conference takes place in Malta, where recipients will meet professionals from all corners of the globe to exchange knowledge and foster excellence in language education. Let’s meet the outstanding individuals who have earned this year’s scholarship!

Kassandra Robertson

Kassandra is a seasoned educator with over a decade of experience across the U.S., Tunisia, and Türkiye. Currently a School of Languages Facilitator at Sabancı University, she specializes in research writing and active learning. With a robust background in academic and professional language education, Kassandra is a regular presenter on cognitive theory, AI in education, and pedagogy, showcasing her commitment to innovation.

Koray Tunç

Koray is a dedicated professional with a BA and MA in English Literature and is pursuing his Ph.D. at Yeditepe University. As the Director of the Foreign Languages Department at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, Koray leads initiatives in AI integration and educational technology, enriching language teaching and school management practices.

Mehmet Çelikbaş

Mehmet, an experienced English instructor, has been in higher education for ten years. Currently completing his Ph.D., he focuses on developing and validating tests that measure pragmatic competence in EFL students. His research interests lie in pragmatic testing and language assessment, which contribute to the broader field of ELT.

Özge Öztürk

Özge holds a Ph.D. from the University of Hamburg and brings global experience from U.S. exchange programs. Currently teaching at Bursa Uludağ University, her research spans multilingualism, ICT, and AI in education. Özge is a regular conference speaker and an active member of EUROCALL and ISLE, ensuring her work stays aligned with current trends in ELT.

Yeşim Çeküç

Yeşim, an English instructor with 14 years of experience, is part of MEF SoFL. She contributes to curriculum development and integrates technology and drama into education. With expertise in Flipped Learning and material design, she continues to enhance English preparatory programs for learners at all levels.
