Why We’re Asking for Your Vote: Eaquals & the ST Star School Association Award

At Eaquals, we work every day to uphold and promote excellence in language education and we would love to have your support to be nominated as a finalist in the ST Star School Association category.

If you’ve seen our Grease-inspired video,  which is this year’s theme, you know we’re having a little fun with this campaign. But behind the retro vibes and pop-art phones, there’s a very real story of hard work, collaboration, and impact—and that’s what we want to share with you here.

Why We’re Campaigning

We believe in accessible, high-quality education for all and we have been taking meaningful steps to support that vision:

• Ensuring Excellence in Language Education

We supported the re-accreditation of 20 institutions, welcomed 13 new members to our network, and signed MoUs with a national association and a sustainability-focused accreditation body—working together to raise standards across borders.

• Providing Free & Inclusive Professional Development

From curriculum frameworks to teacher training guides, all of our resources are free and now available in multiple languages. We’re proud to support educators no matter where they are in the world—or where they are in their journey.

• Launching LAPP – A Game-Changer in Language Assessment

The Language Assessment Professionalisation Programme (LAPP), developed in partnership with ALTE, is a free online course designed to help teachers enhance their assessment practices.

Over 450 educators from all over the world have joined the programme so far. The platform is open, accessible, and provides a Certificate of Attendance—removing barriers to quality training in one of the most crucial areas of education.

• Collaborating to Shape Global Standards

Eaquals actively contributes to language education policy and quality assurance through our work with organisations like the Council of Europe, and national regulators including THEQC (YÖKAK) in Türkiye.

We’re constantly looking for meaningful ways to influence, innovate, and support the evolving needs of our sector.

• Supporting Our Community

Through initiatives like the Member Event Fund, scholarships, conference grants, and free multilingual webinars, we do our best to ensure that educators everywhere can access professional development and feel connected to a global network of peers.
