A New Collaboration:
ELT Council Malta Signs an MoU with Eaquals
The English Language Teaching (ELT) Council in Malta, part of the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research, and Innovation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eaquals, marking a significant step forward in promoting excellence in English Language Teaching (ELT).
Strengthening the ELT Sector in Malta
The ELT Council plays an important role in regulating Malta’s ELT industry, ensuring that schools adhere to high-quality standards and practices as mandated by the relevant legal framework. This new collaboration with
Eaquals, a globally recognized organization for language education quality assurance, further strengthens its mission to foster growth and innovation in the ELT sector.
Sue Falzon, Chief Executive Officer of the ELT Council, said: “As a Council, we continuously seek ways to improve quality in ELT in Malta. We are proud to be engaging in a mutual collaboration with Eaquals, focused on sharing expertise and best practices in English Language Teaching (ELT) across several key areas.”
What Does This Mean for Accredited ELT Schools in Malta?
This partnership offers exciting opportunities for accredited schools. Eaquals’ monthly webinars, which are highly
regarded for their professional development content, will now be recognized by the ELT Council. These webinars will count towards teachers’ CPD hours, benefiting educators working within member schools.
The webinars will cover various aspects of ELT, from teaching methodologies to international best practices, helping teachers stay up to date and enhance their skills.
Supporting Quality Education in Malta
This partnership is an exciting step forward, and we are delighted to contribute to the promotion of quality education in Malta. By working together with the ELT Council, we aim to support teachers and schools in meaningful ways and foster growth in English Language Teaching.
