Catherine Jones is an Assessment Development Specialist at LanguageCert. She has worked in assessment for twenty years with expertise in developing multi-level language curricula, tests and teaching materials for a range of international organisations and governments. She holds a BA in French and History of Art from University College London.
Leda Lampropoulou
Leda Lampropoulou
Leda Lampropoulou is an assessment research and development professional with over 15 years of experience in second language acquisition and assessment. She holds an MA (with merit) in Language Testing from Lancaster University and a BA in English Language and Philosophy from the University of London.
Leda is currently Research Manager at LanguageCert, where she oversees the Awarding Organisation’s research programme and projects, and acts as the Chair of the LanguageCert Research Committee. Before this, she served as Head of Assessment, working on the development and quality assurance of the speaking qualifications. Her contributions to the field include publications in peer-reviewed journals on topics such as test reliability, online proctored (OLP) test delivery, and the assessment of speaking.
An active member of the language testing community, Leda is a member of EALTA and ILTA, while also serving at UKALTA’s Membership and Nominations Committee. She has delivered assessment literacy and standardisation workshops for teachers and markers and regularly presents on assessment research findings at stakeholder engagement conferences and events.
