Foreign Languages Department provides its students with effective language instruction (in both English and Arabic preparatory programs) that is communicative, theme-based, and student-centered in order to achieve the goals of the department. This education centers on the four basic skills of language and uses an integrated-skills approach to teaching them to create a realistic language environment for students to be able to transfer what they have learned into their department studies in the future. In line with this, the whole assessment procedure is based on a communicative integrated skills approach with formative and summative assessment tools including projects and portfolios that reflect real-life tasks.
